A recently published article by the ACLU gives us a shocking insight into the growing power of the US Government’s spying into people’s lives. Recently, the House passed the “FISA” bill granting immunity to big Telecom, on whose infrastructure government agencies such as the NSA will do their spying. Ironically, we now live at a time when we have our own government listening into our personal conversations, and at the same time, criminals watching our every move, engaging in identity theft.
The NSA is the most powerful spy agency in the world, much more so than even the CIA. Thanks to the protection of the FISA bill, the NSA now has direct access to the infrastructure of big telecommunication companies, but will also use this to deploy “data mining” behaviors from intercepted communications of millions of people, worldwide, everyday.
